    Google plus app has been abruptly stopped by Google it seems. When I try to login I getcthe following messge:
    "Your browser is not supported by Google+. You may have an outdated browser version or an unsupported browser type."

    Your post is confusing. You say the app has been stopped but then state issues with the browser. Which is it? Because Google+ itself is still there and working fine. If you're using your browser, try changing it to desktop mode. If you're using some app, other than Google's own, then chances are it's just a webview app meaning it's just launching the mobile page anyway and Google may be now identifying it as an outdated browser.
