    Hi really interested in the Blackberry Leap thinking coming from the iPhone 4s but I have noticed there is no hdmi port do you think there would be such a lead from the charger to hdmi any suggestion's would be mostly appreciative thanks.

    You'd possibly be able to use an MHL adapter in the charge port to substitute for the lack of microHDMI.

    Miracast works just as well as hdmi. Being tethered to your phone via a cable is becoming passe.

    In my experience miracast is nowhere near as reliable as hdmi.

    If by passe you mean backwards compatible with 99% of existing flat screen TVs and monitors that don't have networking and miracast capabilities. Then sure... passe.

    Many people forget that unlicensed wifi is a shared medium. Having always on, always streaming is taking up usable spectrum from other sources that have to be wireless. So if cable and distance isn't a factor, hdmi would be way better choice over miracast and TV doesn't require net connection (recently disconnected cat5 from Samsung TV due to excessive pop up notices).

    OP, if you're coming from an iPhone4 and want a 5" display with HDMI. You should really look into getting the Z30.

    Better phone all round and it has a dedicated micro USB and HDMI port.

    If slimport is another word for MHL port, then yes. But I think there are subtle differences between the two.
