    Please be true!

I want to replace my Z10 with an upgrade in Jan/Feb. I hope the specs and battery life are decent!

In my opinion, if this Z20 really is coming soon, along with the Z3 LTE then there is no Z50 coming anytime soon.
It just makes no sense for BlackBerry. They can only make money if they keep their current devices to a small number and I highly doubt they will release 3 new All-Touch devices in the same generation of devices.
The Z20 will probably have worse specs than the Z30 I'll honestly probably buy a Z30 and I'll be slightly annoyed doing it after waiting all this time for their new All-Touch Flagship....

You are probably right on all counts but I'm hoping BlackBerry put a better screen and a processor upgrade on the Z20.

I now want an all touch Passport sized device with a 1440 X 1920 display. Sorry but Z20 with minimal improvements over the Z10 would be a lame offering to Z10 owners. Only other thing that would interest me is a z30 sized device with 1080 X 1920 screen and improved SOC.

If the All touch device that hasn't even been announced yet (saying there is one) is the Z20 u think it'll be one of BlackBerry's worst business decisions in a long long time.
They will sell significantly less devices than the Z10. The device needs to have top specs or they wont sell.

    IN Z50 WE TRUST....

I think that the Z3 LTE possibly will just be renamed the Z20 and will have upgraded specs from the standard Z3 and hopefully, just hopefully they'll announce the Z50 with Killer Specs over the coming months

I hope so but my feeling is that BlackBerry will only have 1 touch device not 2. I really don't see BlackBerry releasing 3-4 phones per year and the focus will be qwerty phones.

I could be wrong but I think the Z3 LTE was confirmed or was at least in BlackBerry's future plans.
We're just hoping on one more device to get announced.

I can't think of one occasion when I wished that my Z30 battery was removable. As for the battery wearing out; I'm sure I'll be ready for a Passport or whatever other new BlackBerry is on the market at the time. Just my opinion!

Although I've had an iPhone for the past 3+ years (Don't shoot! Switching to the BB-Classic this November!) I still see the importance of having a phone with a removable battery. Not just from a power user perspective but mainly from a longevity perspective. So lets say your Z30 needs it's battery replaced now because these ion batteries are expected to degrade after 2 years of recharge cycles, you have to go bring it in somewhere, your device will be held for a week or two and you're without your phone and maybe no backup device to use. That is inconvenient to me when the solution could easily just be going to the store, buying a new battery and I'm good to go in less than an hour.

I'm sure non-removable batteries with be touted to promote thinness but at what cost really?

Why would BlackBerry release the so called z20 with less specs then the z30? It sounds like wishful thinking for some of you Because you want the z50 to come out. But from a business stand point people didn't buy a z10 because there was wind of a larger touch device coming out months after the z10 release. So the z10 was released first and now it's time where those z10 owners are looking for a new touch device. I'm sure a z50 is in the works but not everybody wants a large device. I just want a device that has an awesome screen a battery that's a BlackBerry.

There are places here in Winnipeg where they will change your screen while u wait. Changing the battery is not going to take a week.

follow the ifixit tutorials. In most cases they are easy fixes.

I believe it will be a beefed up Z3 that will have a little more "horsepower" than the Z10 but a little less than the Z30. If it's priced right, it will succeed IMHO.

I can't understand why BlackBerry has not released something. Z10 is almost gone from stores and BlackBerry has nothing to offer someone walking in other than maybe a Passport or Q10.

They need a new all touch yesterday. John Chen is going to loose me if nothing comes in the next 2-3 months.

Yep. Z30 didn't count because it was very limited release last year almost everywhere, and the future of the company was very sketchy then too. I'd like to see them release a PKB and all touch about the same size and specs as the PKB at every launch. Passport and Passport Touch. Classic and Classic Touch. They have gone all in on PKB, and totally ignored the new base they created with the launch of the Z10.

you are focusing on the consumer market.

The consumer market didn't go for the z10 at all and had a huge write down.

The consumer market didn't go for the z30 in large numbers.

Blackberry is not focusing on the consumer market at the moment..

That being said, I want a better phone then my z30.. I am also the bes admin/network admin/ manager of all out mobile devices and still prefer to go with bb.. but the z30 needs a replacement on par with the the passport i have.. I'm not a keyboard fan but and update z30 would be very well recieved.. Out of the last 4 friends to upgrade their personal devices, they all went with the z30.. but.. they have been on blackberry for a while now.
