    Since the newest update (AAM481) the 'symbols stay open' bug came back for me.

    If you press 'sym' and choose a symbol the page doesn't close so you cannot write until pressing 'sym' again.

    Very annoying, please fix BlackBerry.

    It's annoying for me too but I guess that for people that they use more than a symbol at the time is more practical...

    This is a bug. I thought-provoking it was normal behavior. And how do I get the second screen to be the first one to pop up?

    This is definitely a bug. It wasn't like that since June update and it then got fixed shortly after. Now it's again this behaviour after current July update.

    You could achieve this by swapping all icons with custom symbol layout between first and second page. Not that convenient, no other way I know.

    Simply hold the sym key and input away if you need more than one in a row. No need to make it stay out after a single press. Or make it so double press will make it stay out, like how double pressing alt or shift will lock it until pressed again, for those who want that.
