I would pay extra to have the device now regardless of the trim

No, I would not pay extra.

But my thought is... what if.... after the silver and black version is released and we buy it...
what if a carrier gets an exclusive all-black version?? CrackBerry threads will go crazy.

With the silver trim, it looks like a SE which should sell more.

There's a coating you can get for glasses that prevent them from being reflective. The screen quality and clarity is the same; there's just no reflections. That's the kind of matte screen I'm talking about.

That is nowhere near the same as matte, which is essentially a flat finish. The anti-reflective coating doesn't diminish the clear, shiny lens. Matte is like this:

I'd like that matte for the phone, as in the Passport photo posted previously, but for the glass, an anti-reflective coating so that it doesn't reflect. The windshield on the car is reflective. Did you see the photo of the person wearing the anti-reflective lenses? No reflections, no glossy look.

by the way, when i wore glasses, i had that coating and it really isn't quite unreflective; it reflects green.

The silver band going around it can stay but keep the top black.

This is the effect I'm after:

I'll call it anti-reflective then, instead of matte.

Actually the Pure Black Passport distributed in Dubai only for a release event was like a matte black.

I agree that the black and silver look has grown on me since first seeing it... Was a bit of a shock moment at first...

All black one? Yup! I would love this too... Yes I am also nerdy enough to pay extra for it as well!

But I agree that it's probably a pipe dream and that it will never happen. This device appears to be aimed heavily at the enterprise market and they will simply want the one size fits all model... Shame though!!

That is pretty much what i pictured when a matte screen was brought up; a hazy screen like the Stealth's cockpit glass.

just do a complete match to the "silver" that would be cheaper and possibly better. Black with balance of aasent gold at right place sould be ok too (minimalist,,, don't over do it... but need balance the design).

Some people have expressed that the KEYone should be all black, no silver bits. Should BlackBerry Mobile release a limited edition, pure black version of the KEYone at a $50-$100 premium like BlackBerry did with the white and red Passports? How much extra is pure black worth to you?
    YEszSSS!
