Blackberry never had korean keyboard built in but in korea, they let you laser engrave for free. Not sure Mercury will release in Korea though.

Blackberry was never interested in Korean market in the past. Blackberry Mercury will do really well if they start promoting because Korean people text A LOT so PKB will be appealing.

Yes, especially in France and Germany, though it's not diffused at all. In fact, it's almost a minority.

They're desperately trying to sell the unsold PRIVs (at crazy prices, still).

Azerty/Qwerty no problem for me (in fact 80% of my PKB are Qwerty). Far less painful than computers KB.

It would be super bada$$ if they released a "stealth" version with all black absolutely everything from the bezel to the chin, and no prints whatsoever on the keys, similar to HHKB2Pro blank keycaps & such; that would be the obvious go-to choice for any self-respecting touch-typist, who'd much sooner auction off their own niece on eBay rather than look at the keys when typing.

Only France and Belgium actually. Germany uses qwertz I believe. God knows why there are these differences. Would be easier if everybody had qwerty.

I heard the French version has a key dedicated to typing "Omelette du Fromage."

If it's anything like BlackBerry's previous offerings, it'll be QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY and QWERTY with various different letter systems (Cyrillic, Arabic, etc.) painted on the keys.

And why there is Qwerty and for us German a Qwertz?

It's about the usage of different letters on computer keyboards.

These different language layouts are adapted for mobiles. Even if most of the letters looks the same.

Marketing and production are following the habits of the clients. Of course!
