Since people can apparently predict the future, my prediction is that the KEYone will be a huge success.

Great keyboard, solid build quality, best in class for battery life, great front and back cameras, and not paying $799 USD for a a Snapdragon 835 processor that I don't need or want. I'm much happier paying $550 USD for a processor with reduced heat-up and battery efficiency that has performed very well in other devices.

I also was very surprised and Happy with the name KEYone! And I'm very happy with TCL building hype and getting the word out.

Can't wait for all the reviews!

    I love the optimism.

I am really swithering. The price point puts me off and the name is a bit rubbish but I really adore the look of it. If the price drops off a bit, I will dive in.

The announcement itself was awful, I'm afraid to say, but let that not be a reflection of the product itself.

After watching many quick KEYone video reviews from the MWC, I agree.

This phone may not be a huge AAA seller but it will do very well. Love the split screen and T/B shortcuts remain.

Actually LOVE the name and especially the logo. If it comes to Verizon, I'm sold.

If only BlackBerry had some help with promoting their BB10 phones, they could have made it work. The BlackBerrymobile.com site is pretty cool, even my wife (long-time Samsung user) is ready to switch just based on the advertising! Can hardly wait for this.

This phone will be a hit if all BlackBerry keyboard fans buy it and stop complaining about minor stuff. This phone looks great, if I were a keyboard guy I'll get it on the first day, the price $550 is good much less than my PRIV, $50 more than my Dtek60. The only thing I'm hoping improved from my PRIV is overheating, the Priv overheat a lot on video watching and that is not acceptable this day, I still hope it improves with Android N.

I'm just making a tongue and cheek stab at the KEYone is a failure thread.

I do believe that this phone will be the device BlackBerry fans have been waiting for. Also it will be one that starts to change the gloom and doom opinion of the brand. Good starting point for future devices.

It looks like a winner to me. If I needed Android apps, I wouldn't hesitate to switch from BB10.

However, I really can't find a legit reason to transition from BB10. I'm still happy with my AT&T Locked Z10, which I've owned since BB10 launch in 2013.

Maybe in a year or so...

Wow! Right on man. Loved the z10 and only wished it had better battery life when I used to have one.

Yeah, the downside of the awesome display and compact size is the awful battery life! But I rock the charger/battery combo and can plug in 75% of the time, so it's not a deal breaker for me.

Speaking of the devices operating bands, a little disappointed to see that it's not supporting band 66. This is the new band that Freedom Mobile's LTE network operates on.

It's my understanding that a lot of devices that were launched in 2016 didn't have it supported but dozens of devices which were launched in 2017 or are scheduled to launch will have it. Considering how late in the year this phone IS launching, it would have been nice to see.

I currently don't have the Freedom Mobile LTE as I am happy with the speed of the current network with my Passport but if a new device had it and I could get the 6 gigs of LTE speed for the same price, than I would go all over it.

It doesn't really future proof the device for me very much. I was looking at buying it in a year or so once the price has come down and my Passport SE wasn't still a few months old.

Ahh well, hopefully some other exciting devices from BlackBerry Mobile!

I really enjoyed the presentation. I thought that the intro video was slick, and identified the people/groups in the projected market share appropriate to the keyone. I also thought that the speeches were in tune with the potential users, no fuss, brief, but with sufficient info to be informative, professional and gimmick free.

A gimmick free presentation for a gimmick free device that just gets on with the job it's intended for .....
