I charge the phone once per day (overnight). Using the stock charger that came with the phone I noticed over the week that my phone stops charging at 75%. Doesn't charge past that. I have a really old blackberry charger that I slapped a USB -C adapter on and using that it charges further when I plug it in at work.

Not sure what is going but it wont charge past 75% using the original charger, overnight. Somebody come across this?

I have not with my KEY2... I use the OEM charger or an Anker Qualcomm 3.0.

I remember something similar used to happen in Samsung phones. The battery stats had to be reset or it needs to be recalibrated.
The battery thought it was at 100% but it wasn't.

If not that then perhaps try to charge the phone by switching if off.

yeah, perhaps, but it is peculiar that the oem charging profile is behaving this way while the very old 'slow' charger is able to push through the 75% threshold.

Have you tried fully depleting (0%) the battery before recharging it? I have no idea if this will work but it's worth a try...

I will try that. what is very strange to me is that it charges all the way to 100% via a slowmo old school charger with an adapter on it. but the OEM charger stops dead at 75%. has to be a software bug as it knows and manages the speed of the charge.

Have you tried charging it in Boost Mode and Charge Only to see if there is any difference between one or the other?

Have not tried. I never use boost. Trying to first run it down to zero then will try this. Phone just doesn't want to die haha. Battery is great.

Had a similar problem, I did a 32 seconds restart of the phone and then worked fine !

Hold the power button in for 32+ seconds and then it will reboot once you release the power button. You will feel a slight vibration every now and then and the LED will flash green a number of times... maybe 4-5?

Had the same problem with the oem charger. Used an older BlackBerry charger and now charges 100%. My oem charger seems busted.

Good to hear... the 32+ second restart in a lot of cases will straighten some issues out. Glad it worked out for you... 👍
