So whatsapp has a pretty nice feature of placing a shortcut on homescreen and when you press the shortcut, it takes you straight to the chat screen.

Now I know that bbm cannot do that. However there's a very close one, which is placing a contact on the homescreen using the contact from blackberry app. However, when you press the shortcut, it gives you the option to communicate with the contact (for individual you have chat, voice call and video call; group only gives you 1 option to chat).

Does anyone know how to have a more direct way to enter a chat with a bbm contact?

Open the app drawer, 6 dots, find the BBM app and drag it to the home screen.

What I wanted to do is to directly place a chat (group or individual) in the home screen and not open bbm app

Ah. Missed that part. That would be a nice feature.

And yet, whatsapp has that feature already
