New Number Cruncher Release out Today

A brand new build of Number Cruncher v2 went up on App World this morning. This version fixes the widely reported performance problems that were introduced for some BlackBerry models in last week's 2.0 release (that build was essentially broken).

Today's build also adds global daily and all time top 100 score tracking. In addition, NC 2 introduces head-to-head BBM play, sound (that you can turn off if your sitting in your cubicle and a few other enhancements.

Warning - this version does have a paid component (you can only collect bonus time for so long with the free version). If you are running NC 1.5 and do not want the extra features then you may not want to upgrade. Also note that 2.0 uses a different scoring algorithm so scores on the two versions are not comparable.

The reviews for this upgrade are horrible. You can only collect so much bonus time without paying? And for those who want to downgrade, they're charging for the old version?
