Not much has changed with Samsung this year. If anyone is looking for a Samsung device, then the S7/S7 Edge is probably a great buy in my opinion. But overall, not very impressed with anything this year, especially the poor fingerprint sensor placement next to the camera.

The only thing better about that S8, or even the S7, is the camera, and IP68 water and dust residence. I would love to have both of those, but it's not worth $1000 for me haha. Therefore, still loving my DTEK60 and everything it has to offer for the much better price that I paid!!!

The camera isn't better. It's the exact same. Software side is better, but same hardware.

Samsung announces Galaxy S8 and S8+: Here's everything you need to know

Explaining the Galaxy S8's camera setup

On the face of it, the spec hounds among us won't be satisfied with the fact that Samsung has stuck with the same camera hardware from the Galaxy S7 in the new Galaxy S8. Yes that means we're looking at a 12MP "Dual Pixel" camera with an f/1.7 lens — but remember that the software and ISP (image signal processor) have been improved since last year, and this was arguably the best camera of 2016. Let's see how it all comes together.

On the other side, Samsung has completely revamped the front-facing camera to an 8MP unit with auto focus — all the better for your selfies of all types.

I actually like the s8, it looks quite nice and would be a upgrade in my opinion, given Im also a s7 owner. I would definitely upgrade to the s8 if I wasn't getting a keyone.

I use the blackberry launcher and all other apps on my device. Makes it perfect for the most part. Just wish I had the productivity tab.

It does look a little different but I'm sure the BlackBerry launcher and apps will still work with the s8.

S8 is a really nice phone BUT for $800 or whatever.. I'm not biting. That's a lot of dough for a phone.

True, but at least you'll get top of the line specs. With BlackBerry it's a lot of dough, no guarantee of updates, and more than likely older specs lol. Still like my PRIV though.

Certainly the SD 835 will be a workhorse, but I can't see it making much a difference from day to day use. As far as physical look, there are smaller bezels and a removed home button. I'm not saying the phone doesn't look nice, it does, I'm just saying it's not worth $1000 for me from my DTEK60. I mean, how much faster can it be with day to day tasks? My DTEK60 is lightning quick, no stutter at all.

S8 factory unlocked version is $725 according to best buy. It cost $175 more than keyone so S8 is definitely overpriced.

It is a more powerful device than the KEYone, so I wouldn't say it is overpriced, it's sitting appropriately in its price range. Is it expensive? Absolutely! But i wouldn't say it is overpriced considering the other devices at that price point. It's just its market value.

Why - it's actually quite polished now.

And has really useful features that BlackBerry should have but don't.

It has improved for sure, but it's still just a giant blob on top of Android.
