I was surprised to see positive reviews for this phone. Especially given their current position (i.e. just killed hw, last nail in coffin references, etc)

All seem balanced & biased free.. Except for Engadget.. I mean the specs are out and the guy says "I think it comes with 16Gb of storage.." Really?

I've just watched a couple of first impressions videos in YouTube from several channels, and they all are talking good about the device and the hardware. If I had not purchased the DTEK50 when it launched, I would be buying the DTEK60 right now.

Positive reviews, say it ain't so! The hardware does look killer, and Blackberry's fairly vanilla take on Android may just be what I'm looking for. Let's hope this thing does well so Blackberry doesn't end up with another Z30 on their hands.

Well think about it. It's got flagship specs for $499 basically and it's bundled with accessories.

If anybody says "you can find cheaper alternatives for the same specs" crap again you know it's pure bias.

And all the Canadians complaining about the $650 price tag, I hope they realize similar spec devices are 800-1000 like the Sony, moto, HTC, and pixel.

OnePlus 3 and ZTE Axon 7 is arguably cheaper at 519 CAD versus 650... you can get a lot of cases for 130. That's what some are comparing against.

OnePlus3 does not support SD card. Deal breaker for me and def added value on dtek.. Also camera is 16 mpixels vs 21.. Suspect that is also a plus for the dtek...

Plus all the added BlackBerry security, SW and branding...

You don't need to install Google Plus or Gmail or even Google Services if you don't want to, but you do need Google Services to access the Play Store and Google Drive.
