It performs better than the Priv. I had no clue a few weeks ago, I hadn't paid any attention. Once I started to read around the forums I was surprised to learn that it was more powerful. My intention was to wait on the "Mercury" but the deeper I poked around it became obvious that the Dtek60 was an upgrade to the Priv. So I bought one.
Wow! The difference is staggering. It's fast and smooth. No lag, stutter, nor heat issues. In my opinion the Dtek60 is killing the Priv. And this is coming from a keyboard die-hard.

Waiting for the Keyone to start selling so the Dtek60 price will drop. By that time I should be comfortable enough on the Dtek50 to actually BUY a Dtek60 LOL.
I've been doing a lot of trading in order to try different phones without too much investment. That's how I tried a windows phone, a classic, a Priv, and now the Dtek50. I even traded a laptop for the Lumia 950. (At the time an even trade). The last phone I actually bought with money was the Z30. As I had 2, I traded one, but that is my all time favorite. Hopefully the Dtek60 can fill it's shoes in the future!!

Loving my DTEK60. Have had it since late last year. Bit of a learning curve after leaving BB10, but it has been a great experience. Only a few things that I miss from BB10 now.. And many more things in the BlackBerry Android experience that I enjoy.

Since installing Google VKB its been better than ever. Battery last all day i can read news papers and listen to tune in radio for agood two hours with little battery discharge. As an old fart of 50 plus years i still think BB10 was easier to use and get around, but the 60 is a great piece of kit for my use. Currently looking for a decent hand free dialer assistant though.

Two hours of solid web browsing and news reading, with two hours of music at the same time while at daughters swim gala, power down from 100% to 80% virtually no extra heat either. Used a mix of 4g and free wi-fi. Brilliant.

Much better than the PRIV with its useless PKB and its aspirations to becoming a toaster. DTEK 60 is good to very good bar the battery.

Can get a second DTEK60 for the price of the better camera in the Pixel XL. Love it.

Conite is happy with tcl android but angry with BlackBerry 10 still alive! Hahahahaha good job!

Have any of the guys in here praising the vkb of the dtek60 ever used a good BlackBerry pkb? Or a PP? I'm really ready to jump ship for a new phone and want to wait for the Keyone... but the dtek is right there.

a great phone except for 1 problem. The antennae sucks. Having to walk around to get enough bars to receive or make a call is not good. Blackberry should be putting in the paratek antennae like they did with their later OS10 phones like the Z30. On my Z30, I get 5 bars, and on a detek60 1 or 2 if I am lucky.

Yes I have. The Passport is my all-time favorite BlackBerry. Though I love the BlackBerry VKB and really like the DTEK60, I'll be buying the KEYone the day it's made available in the States.
