You just need to disable the App.
Settings / apps / select the app in question and then disable.

You won't be able to uninstall.

I bought the phone directly from BlackBerry. I saw the disable function but it gave me a warning that it might affect other processes so I chickened out...done now. Thanks

it's an android thing and wont go away. all you can do is disable. it's a small file anyway, so not a big deal.

So, I had this issue, no info on Google pages but here is how I got rid of mine...
    1. Settings.
    2. Apps.
    3. Google Zhuyin input.
    4. Storage.
    5. Clear cache.
    6. Clear all data and click continue ( or on some versions "ok") to the warning pop up.
    7. Go back to Google Zhuyin input.
    8. Force stop, again continue through warning message.
    9. Now the option to uninstall is accessible, click it, continue through error message.
    Done.

I also had to do this for Cantonese.

For the third and final irritating and re-issuing pop up Google Pinyin input, it is so much easier, simply go to Google play store, search for Google Pinyin input ( make sure it's Google) click on that search result and you will see it is listed as " installed", must come with the phone, never had this issue before, only since latest OS update.
    Simply click " uninstall", done.

    Hope this helps.
