What version of the Google app, and what version of Google Play Services are you on?

I also understand there is a server-side component as well.

For my Google App it says 6.13.25.21.arm64 and the Google Play services it's 10.2.98 I can tell you the voice commands work quite well for me. So it's going to be interesting. I'm still running Marshmallow so I hope we get Nougat soon. So far my BlackBerry Dtek 60 is running smoothly.

I'm on Play Services 10.5.37, and Google 6.14.12.21. So I guess I'm waiting for something behind the scenes.

I think I have it? Not really sure because I never used it before so I can't tell. But it does let me say "Ok Google" and pulls up prompts/perform tasks. I'm on the same app versions as Ha P McBroom and using a DTEK60 on AT&T, if that helps any.

Edit: I should add that I believe it's rolling out in the US first, which might be why Bla1ze hasn't seen it yet.

Does it serve any real purpose? Apart from putting Google even more at the centre of everything?

It bumps the A.I. way up. Makes it more conversational too.

I didn't use it before but I have already found several uses for it in my limited testing, primarily easily toggling bluetooth/wifi when I get in my car. Has freed up my convenience key for other uses (right now I have it set to open my password keeper app).

Arrived in Australia yesterday...tip was given to change language to English USA

...then change it back once you get it.

Don't know if that does anything or we would have got it anyway....

It looks like it does matter, if we change language back, we lose assistant... have to wait for our language, or stay on English USA.

Thanks this is what it looks like when i press the mic, and nothing happens when i press the circle at the bottom of the screen (home screen circle)

    Edit
I changed the language to US, backed out, came back in and pressed to turn on voice again, but same screen activates. So guess i haven't got the right version. No worries, it'll happen, i'm just experimenting with it.

I still use bb assistant on my classic to set my cooking alarms, and other stuff, lol.

Checked for this on my 60 after reading. Yep all down loaded some time ago. I don't really use the assistant apart from calls on blue tooth. This may be why it's actually working lately.
