It is a ten band equalizer app. It's free, but I'm already using Rocket Player (paid app) for playing music and it includes a ten band equalizer.

Would love to know general settings tips as well, other than just increasing all. A nice balance for music, movies and general. Currently I've bumped them all up for overall loudness.

Anyone with recomended settings or samples to start? And yes I know I can play around w/ it and tune it to my personal liking and preferences but a nice start on how to balance the sound settings for optimal bang would be nice.

The Maxx app actually works great. It's a bit more than just an eq in that it has bass / treble boost as well as a nice 'stereo's enhancement. Makes the speakers throw a little more distance. As if the speakers are farther apart, actually works quite nicely as you can discern left and right better by boosting, try it out.

Loving the DTEK60 so far...

But am I the only one having problems with this app? Sometimes it seems to have no effect on my sound, and trying to choose one of the presets ( Rock, Classical, etc) never works for me. Was so excited to see an app like this preloaded on the DTEK60 because that was something I wished the Priv had. Hoping I can get it to work.

Leave it on the Auto Select On mode will change for music or video and it does make a difference.

For some reason none of this is working for me at all. Maybe it's just that it's not compatible with Spotify? Also, still having issue with not being able to select a preset. It always stays on General no matter what I select (Rock, County, etc)

According to ML Manager (a nice app manager) my copy of the Waves Maxxaudio app is version 6.0.1, the same as the rest of the OS components it picks up.

Hence, if it's ever updated its probably through OS update.

Update on my issue...

I think I've figured out a couple quirks w/ the app

1) Selecting presets (Rock, Classical, etc) only works when not connected to Bluetooth. Probably want to select a preset (assuming you auto select is turned off) before connecting BT device
2) The native equalizer has to be turned off in order to hear a difference in sound. I noticed that turning off the equalizer in Spotify (which just connects to the native eq) allowed the Waves Audio to take over

Does anyone know if this works with TuneIn Radio? I notice no difference when listening and connected through wired headphones.

Funnily enough at first I found no difference with tune in radio. It when I plugged in some BB ear buds it allowed me to open the app and mess with the settings. Could be a UK thing though.

It might be. I have had no difference in sound whatsoever with TuneIn and Maxx. On my mp3 app, yes, it actually gave it to much because the app had an equalizer already built in.

I had no issues with this app before.
I did a factory reset and since then it will not work no matter what I try.
I edit the presets and save and it says it was saved but if I leave the app, my settings get erased.
They also have no affect on sound when I adjust and the app is till open.
