    Hi
I live in Argentina where the only LTE's band available is band 4.
So far all the phones that we brought from US (Z10, Z30, iPhones, Galaxies) perfectly work here.
But when my new DTEK50 came last august I found out that it doesn't work.
After several calls with my carrier (Movistar) and BlackBerry support, all I could know is that there's a kind of incompatibility.
The site willmyphonework also shows that the phone "may or may not work".
So I had to choose between returning the phone or keep is as a 3G's one. I returned it.
    1. Anyone can tell why a phone with band 4 may or may not work in band 4?
    2. Is there anything else I can check in a phone's specs to know in advance if it will work?
    3. And finally how to know if DTEK60 's band 4 will honor our installed band 4?
    Thanks

I also live in Argentina and have just recieved a Dtek50.
Movistar is my carrier too. I thought I needed to change my sim card so that it works in 4G! Haven't done that yet.

I also have a Priv which works perfectly well in 4G (different sim and line).

If all these devices, and now Dtek60 include band 4 in LTE, how is it possible that it is not compatible with our local Band 4?

Can anyone help us out on this matter?

    Thanks

So, no one can technically explain the incompatibility between band 4 in the phone and band 4 in base installation?

As far as I know most of the Indian LTE bands are TD-LTE, which is very niche and only supported by the Priv STV100-3.

Unfortunately I can't offer any insight, but I am concerned because my carrier only uses LTE band 7.

If your band 4 doesn't work, I'm worried that I will also have issues.
