Anybody got some info on when/if the DTEK60 is getting Android N? I got one coming in the mail tomorrow and am hoping for a quick upgrade to N. Do you think it would be 7.1.1 if it does get the upgrade?

Likely not for quite a while until after the KeyONE gets released. If they give their old phones the latest software, they give people incentive to NOT buy the KeyONE.

It's standard BlackBerry. Remember the Passport and P 9983 got 10.3 in September 2014, but it wasn't pushed to the older devices until March or April 2015. I think this will be a similar situation.

I don't think the Porsche Q10 got the update along with the Passport.

How did they push that separate from the Qs? It's the same OS on the BlackBerry servers.

Huh? It was released with it. They pushed the OTA to the Q's in Spring 2015.

That's correct. But we are talking about OTA releases in this thread. Not leaks and autoloaders.

Shop BlackBerry devices got the OTA update in spring 2015.

    Yup. I remember now.

10.3.0 was horrible at memory management, which is why the other devices had to wait for 10.3.1. Passport and P9983 had memory to spare.

Hope this isn't true what with the release date for the KEYone being later that people thought. Hope BB brings us some Nougat goodness and security before then.

Well you're wrong on that point as well. P9983 had the same memory as a Q10 and all the other BB10 devices (except Z3). So BlackBerry had no reason to not push the update other than to boost sales of their new stuff.

I guess they shouldn't have pushed it to the Porsche device until they had 10.3.1.
