I had a bad experience with the Blackberry hard back case. Two corners broke after only three months of light usage.

Got a silicone rubber case instead..much cheaper and more durable.

I'm not a phone case fan, but cos of the thinness and lightweight 50, I bought that BlackBerry hard shell case for US$15, and it's perfect for me.
To try out the adaptable storage, I bought a 32gb Kingston microSD, cos I read that above 32gb would require additional things to do with formatting, or whatever that was nyehehe.

    Hey,

Just wanted to share what I am using with the DTEK50.

As for microSD cards, I'm using the SanDisk Ultra MicroSDXC 128GB UHS-I Class 10 Memory Card (Upto 80 MB/s Speed) , works great so far.

A inexpensive tempered glass to protect the screen.

As for the case I went with "Ziaon Triple Layer Holster Kickstand Back Cover Case for Blackberry Dtek50" it feels solid and I have no complaints, has a nice grip and a cool stand. Not very business like but very durable.

Do share what your using and if it works for you, makes it easier to make a choice, thanks.

Got basically the same case as the OP here:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...UvbUpU12749014

Can't really beat it for $6 with an included screen protector.

Alcatel Idol 4/BlackBerry Dtek50 soft gel case. Amazon.com
    Tempered glass screen protector
32GB SD, but just bought 64 GB
Horizontal belt holster so I can carry it while riding my horse.

I am lucky I had a tempered glass screen protector on my Z30 when it fell onto the metal edge of a frying pan. The tempered glass cracked across the phone, but the phone is fine. Immediately replaced the protector.
What kind of case / accessory / microSD card are you using with the DTEK50-dtek50-soft-case-amazon-.jpg

I like the BlackBerry holsters but the Dtek50 one was too pricey although starting to drop in price a bit. So instead I went with a Priv holster since it's roughly the same size. A little loose but works good.

I'm currently using a holster case with an ordered smart case on the way. I also have a 64GB SD card formatted as internal storage. I don't intend to always remove the card since it shares the same tray slot as the SIM card. This configuration offers better performance with more shared storage for apps as well as other data storage. I observed that the phone could quickly run out of apps memory with only the standard 16GB internal memory and the external SD card set up as portable storage. However, there is a tradeoff for not being able to use the SD card as portable storage outside the phone.
