Be very careful on EBay alot of fake SD cards there. If the price is incredible for the same model compared to other places like Amazon then its risky.

Whatever brand you get, as has been said, make sure it's not a fake knock off, and read the reviews for that particular card before committing.

Also the speed of the SD card must be taken into consideration for optimum performance.

    DTEK50 supports a micro SDXC UHS-I rated Class 10

That specification should ensure speed compatibility with DTEK50

Some apps on the priv will work on the card, some have to go on the device. That's what I've noticed anyway

I had already loaded my apps prior to buying this. I did make it adaptive.

Samsung, Lexar and SanDisk. These three are the most reliable brands.

Samsung Pro is good but is at a premium price. Samsung EVO+ should be sufficient for everyday use or average person. Take note there is a Samsung EVO without the "+", which is a slower version.

Most microSD cards from the three brands are class 10, UHS-1. Take note of that when buying the microSD card.

Buy from a major store like Best Buy.

If you are influenced by Amazon reviews, Lexar gets poor reviews, reporting defective cards out of the box, and/or failures soon after.

SanDisk seems to fair better, according to Amazon reviews

No influence from Amazon. I owned Samsung EVO+, Lexar 300x, Lexar 633X and SanDisk Extreme. Plenty of them. And never have issues.

Just my opinion, get the SanDisk Ultra / Extreme MicroSD. I've been using them for donkeys years and they work wonderfully. If you plan on taking a lot of 4k video I would recommend the 'Extreme' version but otherwise both will work very nicely.

In my Dtek50 I installed a Samsung EVO+ (32gb) just using it as external storage for photos and video. It says it isn't fast enough to support video over 720p. Seriously. I can't do 1080p. Makes no sense. Same card in my Daughters S7edge, no issues. These were both bought from BestBuy at the same time. Not some knock off sold through ebay. Is anyone else running this line of cards having issues on their Dtek?

If you want to use adoptable storage in your phone you need a FAST card. One with read/write speeds of 90mb/sec+. Sandisk and Samsung cards are the ones to look at.

I am not using it as adoptable. Just regular removable. I don't understand why it says it is too slow for anything more than 720p video. I moved it to my daughters S7 edge and no issues.

Use on my PRIV a Samsung PRO plus 128gb U3 Class 10 card and have it installed as adoptable storage. For example have Asphalt Nitro stored on the card and when loading no lags whatsoever extremely fast! Key here that it is U3. Bought this card on Amazon. Real pleased.
Have attached image of packaging for reference.

All this "version " name is really unnecessary. What you are looking for is UHS1 (not the 1 inside a U,though some are ok), Class 10 and/or U with a 3 inside of it.
If you want to future proof somewhat, the U3 does 4K video also. The first two do 1080p.
It doesn't matter if you will do video or not, it's that you are buying a fast card. All the Super Extreme Ultra voodoo was used on cards years ago that don't meet today's specs.
Stay with SanDisk, Patriot, Lexar, Toshiba, etc. Mushkin and others have been known to cheat specs in SSDs.
The phone (and tablets) are known to warn you that the card isn't fast enough. If it's a specs card, keep going and test it.
