I'm curious to know how well the camera performs overall, especially if I'm going to pull the trigger on one of these

It's still a cell phone camera. How well COULD it perform? LOL.
What is your end use? I mean, it could never surpass a real camera.

Well we still want to compare it to different phone cameras. Plus who carries professional camera all the time? I have one but use it only on special occasions. My mane camera is Passport

Pretty sure the OP is looking for pics to compare it to other cell phone cameras and not stand alone cameras. Not sure why this concept is so difficult every time someone asks for a camera quality comparison. My passport camera is brutal for blurring, so im hopeful that the new BlackBerry phones are faster to focus and snap.

The Apple 6s takes a great photo so maybe he is referring to a camera of this quality.

There are other sections that have this kind of threads. I want start one up to really compare it to other devices without comparing it to artificial review shots taken from like technobuffalo or Engadget.

    Default DTEK50 Sample Photos

I had a day out yesterday in Liverpool (UK) and decided to take some snaps with my DTEK50. I wasn't planning on taking photos but it seemed like the perfect opportunity to test my camera. I'm very pleased with how they turned out!

Let me know what you think! Sharing purely for those interested in sample photos from this phone. No settings were tweaked to take the photos, all stock settings.

Today we went out for a walk. A nice possibility to test the camera in this phone.
Hope the pics will give you a decent impression.

This is a tricky one. The bars of the bridge (over not so troubled water) in the background are not so accurate. More cameras in phones seem to have problems with this kind of lines.

Beer bottle in the water: besides of leaving trash in nature this pic isn't that special. Just uploading it to show you the zoom of this camera in the next picture.
