They billed my card Friday for $3.19 and then again on Saturday for $38.18. I contacted them on Saturday. He explained the first charge was a feeler to make sure the charge would go through, and the second charge was for the $34.99 flip case +tax. They have yet to bill the remaining amout for the phone. I wonder if they are going to actually ship the case before the phone . As of yet, I have not received an email with any shipping details.

My wife's DTEK50 arrived yesterday about Noon and I spent the afternoon transferring content from a Z30 to the new device. That all went very smoothly - zero problems. Then I spent some time setting up the phone how she likes it and downloading some apps. The phone is silky smooth to the touch and so light! Very easy to use and the response is snappy. The BlackBerry virtual keyboard is just a joy to use on this phone.

    Hello Everyone,

After passing on the PRIV (still glad about that), and wishing for another BB10 device, I decided the DTEK50 was priced right to experiment with this as a secondary device.
Bottom line: If the HUB works well, then this might be something for me to consider going to (eventually). NOT giving up my Passport SE just yet.

Anyway...it is now waiting for me at home, so I've got it. REALLY fast turn around--I ordered on the last day of the Pre-order.

I got my DTEK50 yesterday, (ordered on 08/05/2016, living in US).
I come from a BB Classic as a primary device.

    First impressions are positive.
I am no stranger to Android.

    Things I like so far:
    - It fits in my hand better than I imagined.
    - Even though the processor is not "flagship" it handles everything I throw at it very well. (No, I don't play games)
    - The display is better than I imagined.
    - The Android version of HUB is not as bad as some people say.
    - The "Security" features are not as intrusive as I imagined them to be.
    - It is not as fragile as it looks.
    - All the antennas perform much better than I imagined.
    - I will continue adding as I spend more time with the phone.

    "Cliche" warning:
What a nice world would be if the DTEK50 ran BB OS10 with unrestricted access to Google Services and applications?

Does the phone feel like a Blackberry device in my hands? Absolutely no.
I am pretty sure no one is buying a Blackberry device here. We are buying the Blackberry interpretation of Android and whatever comes with it.

I think DTEK50 is a smart move. I am not sure if it's too late for that kind of talk but, if Blackberry "tricked" me to buy the DTEK50 for $300 they will "trick" thousands of OS10 fans to do the switch.

I hope that Blackberry will continue to develop the new OS and integrate what worked well in OS10 into their version of Android for the years to come. They are on to something here with the DTEK50 and I am happy with my purchase.

I can confirm that Wi-Fi calling does not work on the T-Mobile network. I am putting this phone back in the Box until somebody figures this out. I reluctantly have to go back to my Priv. Please someone come up with the answer to this huge issue!

I've been a blackberry user for the past 8 years, and I've never had any issues. People always ask "Why BlackBerry? Why don't you just get an iPhone". Simple: I'm not an Apple fan. Never have been, and never will be. I've preordered the DTEK50 and I'm looking forward to when it arrives!

I hope you're not dependent on Wi-Fi calling because it's not there yet.

Was going to get a Priv, but I didn't use the PKB that much on the last one and for 349 CHF it's a steal. Secure, (hopefully) fast device with expandable memory and regular updates. Perfect for my needs.

I got mine on the 9th.

    First impressions...
Still working my way around it since this is my first Android. Trying to get rid of my old habits with my Z10.

Like many said, it is very thin that it feels like I don't have a firm grip to hold it but it is very, very light. Android does have less of a spartan look as opposed to my Z10. I miss that certain aspect of the latter phone.

The battery has settled down and I'm quite pleased with it. It certainly lasts longer than my Z10.
Pictures don't do this phone justice. It has to be seen and handled to really appreciate the DTEK50.

For those in Canada, I went with VirginMobile.

That's it for now... stuff off the top of my head anyway. I'm glad I picked this up.

Without somehow being able to Rig the DTEK50 Crackberry Drawing I have about as much chance of winning it as Trump has of winning the US Presidential Elections.
I seriously need this new phone so Crackberry any help you can offer in achieving this would be greatly appreciated lol.

For anyone who has not used android before, there is definitely a learning curve. BB10 is the better os, but I have found "work-arounds" in android. That being said, i'm quite pleased with the Dtek50.
