    At the DTEK event yesterday when I watched the video, I heard one executive say "special price" now. So it may go up I would think from that phrasing. I will watch the video again later and try to find it.

    There's no way in hell it would go up. As it is they are already pushing it 100$ more than the original idol 4

    @auditman I'll give you that. But the extra $100 isn't really giving you anything in the "bundle." That battery pack at the always-over-priced-accessory from Blackberry is probably $35 of it. The rest is the security software.
    I'm not seeing the holster shutting it off/on, so their price for that is over. As thin as it is is great. But it needs a hard case to stop damage. The big guys aren't making them.

    I'm thinking $249 when the new phones start popping up all over in September.

    Not much ever goes down once a price is set--unless it is a bomb and then yes. I think the special pricing mentioned in the pod cast refers to the charging unit being included for a short period. So if you want the charger for free, you would need to act soon.

    $100 for security software + the monthly security/ patch update is worth it for me.

    Isn't the Idol 4 only available for $200 if you sign up with Cricket Wireless? I don't think it's being sold unlocked anywhere is the US. Not entirely fair to compare prices.
