I have the following Slimport adapter and it works perfectly on my passport yet it seems it is not supporting my DTEK50.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...UvbUpU12550307

Looking at SlimPort supported devices , DTEK50 is not listed.

Does anyone have an idea which type of connector would support DTEK50 with HDMI in on my TV?
    Much appreciated.

Apparently the Idol 4 (and therefore the DTEK) doesn't have Slimport/MHL.

    Try Miracast?

Getting a Chromecast dongle for your TV is almost as cheap as a slimport to hdmi cable.

True. But there is no easy way to use Chromecast dongle in a hotel room while travelling.

    Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the output of a Chromecast is just like a SlimPort cable, i.e. HDMI? Only difference there is that you need USB power.

So if you can plug in a Slimport cable, why not a Chromecast?

Yes. You can connect the Chromecast dongle to your hotel's TV via HDMI. But then you shall need wifi between DTEK50 and Chromecast dongle to control it. And usually in a hotel, devices cannot communicate with each other via Wifi.

As per Google, the workaround is a Travel Router to the Ethernet jack.
