I have the DTEK50 and it's been working great! However I noticed recently that when I plug it in I no longer get the coloured charging progress meter on screen.

I changed to a different charge cable and that seemed to work but now that different cable is doing the same thing. It says charging and does so very slowly. But it charged so much faster when that charge indicator (red, yellow, green charge indicator) what visible.

Anyone able to help?

For the charge indicator, check settings - display - show battery status on screen edge.
I don't know about the difference in charging time problem, though.

Open BB Virtual Expert and read the current in the battery line. If it is positive, the battery is being charged. If you note the current numbers over time, you will get an accurate sense of how fast the battery is being charged. I won't rely on the color bar.
