Helps to know what you have done yourself to address the issue. Have you even tried simply rebooting the device?

To do fast reset of the device, just hold power button, until device reboots. This was on on Blackberry PRIV, should work on Dtek too. It is a different restart than a regular one.

What applications have you installed? Have you tried a factory reset, and seeing if this happens without anything setup on it? Would help determine if it is a software or hardware issue.

I think factory reset is next option. All installed apps worked fine until Tuesday then it went wrong. Its actually my wife who has the phone and I'm away on business, back tomorrow. She has told probs to me and I've relayed them seeking a solution. Not a good start to life with a dtek50. However I've just got one this week too although haven't activated sim until I load apps and get to know it. I'll factory reset it tomorrow and well see what happens. I'll report back

Before you reset, boot it into safe mode;hold the power button until the power off option shows then hold the option, you should get a popup asking to boot to safe mode

Thanks Paul. Should I remove sim and SD cards prior to factory resetting?

Probably best, but before resetting try the safe mode first

Rebooted in Safe Mode and appears to work OK now. Had to reinstall e-mail and sync to hub. Will monitor of couple of days and see if performance settles down. Meanwhile still got my trusty Wileyfox Swift. Can't decide which I like better rhough

Chen can't seem to get anything right. He can't even get BlackBerry 10 right.

    DTEK50 functions crashed-img_20160820_020155.png

Now he gonna waste billions on android? He needs to leave android to the ones that have already mastered it and work on getting their own OS right.

It's just a stupid bug, there's even an App in BlackBerry World called Accounts cleaner which can sort it

BlackBerry needs to update the os instead of having others develop an app to fix a bug in their os.

Now Chen wants to dabble in android?
