I read an article that says the Dtek50 is built over the Idol 4 Ingeeniering design, so no need to buy "original" BlackBerry Accesories, that certainly cost a "plus" over any regular Accesories that you can find in any corner....thanks.

As far as I can tell the difference is that the DTEK50 is 0.3mm thicker, probably due to the different backing (rubber vs glass).

Got a case from eBay (China) when I bought my 50. When I received the case it was in Idol 4 packaging even though the listing stated Dtek50 case. It's a great case and a steal @ 3.60 and free shipping. Only drawback was it took 5 weeks to get.

I can confirm that the Cover On Blackberry DTEK50 Holster Case Explorer Series fits my DTEK 50 perfectly and it was originally designed for the Idol4.

Best case I ever owned..rugged, protects the phone and durable. Much better than the cheap Blackberry hard back junk I bought at almost two and a half times the price that broke within two months of use.

I liked the Cover On so much I bought a second one for my wife's DTEK50.

I got this clear Cover On TPU case at Amazon. It also comes in black. Came it 2 days with Prime. Fits perfectly.

I have 2 DTEK 50s both with idol 4 cases and they fit perfectly. One was $5.50 and the other was $4. Another win for the dtek!!!

Yes, it does. I ordered a Dtek50 case from aliexpress, and when it came, it has written all over Alcatel Idol4. Fits great!

There are cases specifically made for the DTEK50 available from Incipio. Their cases as pretty good and they saved my behind the last time around when I was looking for cases for the BlackBerry Leap as well.

Go to incipio.com and put the DTEK50 in search box and you will see the available cases (I tried posting the link repeatedly but it doesn't seem to work).
