Default Why does my battery life suck?

I have the BB 9360 from work and my battery drains quick and I'm not really even doing much on it! Here is what I have installed?

    BES E-mail for work
    BIS for Google
    Google Maps
    Google Search
    Google Sync
    Berry Weather
    HopStop
    Amazon
    Yelp
    Facebook

I read some complaints where Yelp is killing batteries but I can't do without Yelp, plus I don't even use it that much and always properly close the application.

I have Facebook set to never update anything. The battery on this phone is terrible. I can't go through a day of medium usage without it dying... and just dying without any warning.

So have also said the 7.1 OS update would help but I'm in the US and T-Mobile has yet to release this update! Help

You dont need DM to update you can use any update see the following...
    Windows XP
    Windows 7
    Windows Vista
As i have mentioned in other threads you don`t need Download manager to upgrade OS
If on Windows XP do the following
First Delete all other OS7 from your add and remove programs... your PC has to clean of all OS 7 you may have loaded..
Now load the latest OS7.1.0.336 this can be any carriers OS
Once done you will see run app loader DONT
    Right click Start Menu
    Explore
    Click on Program folder
    Click on Common folder
Click on Research in motion folder
    Click on App Loader
Now Delete XML Vendor file located at the bottom of that list.
Now plug your device into your PC and RUN APP LOADER..
    Let it run its course..
i have done 3. 9360s so far.. i`m on Rogers Canada they don`t have OS7.1.0.336 yet as an upgrade and i am running the new OS7.1 on all three with no problem..
If on Vista or W7 you have to find a second XML Vendor File...i have all 3 systems here at home and found Windows XP to be the easiest to upgrade the OS on.
    Good Luck

Try to update to 7.1. it helps a lot. My last charge lasted 52 hours with 35% left at the end. though it was on very very light usage, and idle most of the time since its the weekends and i was down with a bad cold. Checking of email occasionally, a few whatsapp messages, and 1 hour of music playing while using GPS to live track with endomondo. My idle discharge rate was less than 1% per hour. Which is better than what i had on my Bold 9900. To add on, my screen brightness is 10% while timeout is at 20 secs. Battery saving mode always on. Would get me through a day of heavy usage with no issues.

my battery life only lasts 11 hours with none left -_- and im already on .336. Yes, my phone is on 3G but it offers faster reception than EDGE. its impossible to believe that a single charge with 2G on can last over 52 hours AND still has some left :O

My battery lasts five or six hours maximum, although that being said I do absolutely nothing to save it - maximum brightness, reckless with apps, wi-fi always on, I do turn bluetooth off though! I think that's not bad considering how heavily I use it. I still haven't tested it with music though, I suppose that will be the true trial.

@xloudia, true trial of what? When you would need to keep your 9360 plugged in at all times? Haha

I have noticed that even with my 9700, if I'm reckless with apps, the battery just doesn't last very long. Maybe a day. I've just invested in multiple batteries so I can just swap them out. Grabbing the Y-cable and extra battery for the 9360 is a must for power users.
