i have a blackberry 9360 for sometime but recently i noticed that i cannot carry out any software upgrade on the device. The present software on the device is 7.1 bundle 2039 while the new upgrade i wanted to install is 7.1 Bundle 2814 anytime i tried to upgrade using the Blackberry desktop Software but it keeps saying I need to upgrade my Desktop software and if i try to do that it comes with an error message

Please update your profile to include device, carrier, and location. This makes it easier for others to help you.

Just Uninstall it completely from your PC using Programs under Control Panel. Restart PC and download & install it again.

Btw you meant Bundle 2841, not 2814. Regardless, we usually refer to the OS by itself Application version, in this case OS 7.1.0.1047 for instance.

Please review these OS upgrade instructions and follow this method once you've updated BB Desktop Software (which you'll often see still referred to as DM for Desktop Manager, it's previous name).
