Official: OS 7.1.0.336 for the Curve 9360 from Telenor Norway

    1. Accept the fact that there's a battery life problem with this model so learn to use it wisely.

    2. Smart use with keeping the phone on EDGE for most of your activity and only switch over to 3G for downloads help preserve battery (i.e. only if you are a 3G subscriber).

    3. Keep the phone not cluttered with too many Apps. Only have what you need most.

    4. Learn to EXIT out of every application in the "correct way" and not leave it running in the background.

    5. If possible - after you download the OS 7.1.0.336 and delete the vendor files, try to shrink the OS to ONLY stuff you require. It helps to free up some more memory space.

Following the above should get you past the day like some have reported.

Depends on what your phone usage is like. Daily, I get around 50-60 mails ( both received and sent), 20-30 BBM's, 20-30 group posts, 5-6 2-3 minutes phone calls, 20 mins of bridge with playbook, auto off at 11.40 pm and auto on at 5.40 am , daily puzzed alarm and my battery is at 30 % next morning.
I'm on the Telenor 7.1 OS posted above, but I always got similar battery life, even on 7.0.

    Very valid and Important point.

Go to Manage connections>networks and connections> mobile network>network mode....make sure this at 2G. Select 2G/3G only when you are browsing.

Also turn off GPS and Blackberry protect. For download use WIFI only, not 3G.

    Nope ...

    Never use 2G/3G setting

    Either stick to 2G

    OR

    3G

I get a little over a day on a single charge. I use battery saver full time which is available from OS7.1. I turned off GPS but leave on 3G and wifi full time. I also stay away from heavy battery usage apps unless I'm around a charger. These are podcast downloads and anything with App World. Hope this helps.

Completely agree with audio_engr on all accounts and also set your location sharing to off.

My battery takes almost 40 hours to completely discharge

I choose 2G/3G, since I keep moving in and out of 3G network. Only 3G would be a better option, if you are getting confirmed 3G signals.

What purpose does location sharing do? Mine has always been on. What will not work if it is off?
