Rogers 9360 Service Books
Well I went to Rogers today with a phone not bought from Rogers, and the person told me that I need to get Rogers Service Books loaded onto my phone in order to get BBM working. Now I am wondering how I can get those service books because I cannot acess the BIS because I do not have an account, and I cannot register because the person on the phone said I need a Data Plan.
Help! - 05-28-2012, 04:30 PM #2
you need to make a rogers account and subscribe to BIS then all will be said and done.
whether its a rogers phone or not, once activated with a Rogers SIM on BIS all will be good.BIG UP BIG UP, ITS A STICK UP STICK UP
I may be blunt, but it was the only way you would understand! @Fubaz

The person at the store told me otherwise, he told me to come on here and someone will help me out. No data plan needed

That person told you wrong. You need a data plan no matter what if you want to use BBM.

BBM is included in my plan, they can't get it working.

Now what you are saying is in direct opposition of what you said in your original post.
In your OP, you stated "I cannot acess the BIS because I do not have an account, and I cannot register because the person on the phone said I need a Data Plan."
Then you stated "The person at the store told me otherwise,... No data plan needed "
Now you are saying "BBM is included in my plan, they can't get it working."
This is a contradiction.
So what exact plan do you have?
Why can't they get it working?
Have they tried resending the Service Books from their end?
Have you created a BlackBerry ID and logged in on the phone with that? - 05-29-2012, 05:35 PM

You people are clearly no help. O
I'm not contradicting anything, in both my points I said that I need a data plan and that I don't have one. - 05-29-2012, 05:41 PM #11
You need a data plan. Once you get that, BlackBerry Messenger will work.
If your plan currently includes BBM, what plan is that so that we can figure out if it is a correct plan? - 05-30-2012, 03:16 AM #13
If you subscribe to a Rogers plan that includes BBM then you have a data plan. It's a specialised data plan. The service books should be automatically pushed if your plan is set up correctly and the phone is properly unlocked.
It sounds like you are either not describing your plan properly or the phone wasn't properly sim unlocked.
Could you please provide the exact plan you have with Rogers and we can go from there. and please don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about because i do this for a living.
