READ THIS if you have a short battery life
Hi, I noticed that a lot of people have big problems with the battery life of their BlackBerry Curve 9350/60/70. So, I recommend to desactivate the data compression option on storage settings: go to Settings>Device>Storage>Untick the "Enable compression" box then save and exit. It should be better now.

Thanks. Giving it a shot for a week or so. But after reading up on it, I think you sacrifice memory and storage to gain battery life so it depends on what your needs are. However, the battery life is probably the 9360's weakest point... I'd gladly trade some memory for a guarantee it would make it through the whole day with moderate-heavy usage.

Yes this is true, but I didn't see a big difference when I desactivate the data compression: the storage capacity seems to be almost the same. When your phone access any file located on internal memory, the system needs to uncompress it before use, and because the BlackBerry access everytime the storage, these cycles of compression/uncompression create an important battery drain. In absolute, yes, you have to make a choice, but with very little consequences.

I can't prove this but I'm certain my battery life gets better when I have the keypad locked and I'm just walking around with my phone in my pocket. Maybe because I'm not hitting the keys causing the screen to fire up when not needed. Give this a try and see if it helps.

So there is something to the keypad being locked! Overall i'm happy with the battery life on the 9360 and the battery while small charges quickly back up from fully drained so that's helpful. To me it's a great phone very compact with a good screen, lots of features and a cheap price!
