Default Random Reboots/Shutdowns

Hi there,

Installed official .464 by att. Since then, have been having random reboots and/or shutdowns and I need to pull the battery to get it going. Haven't read about anybody else having problems with this OS. I did a wipe and reinstall and still happening. No specific pattern as to when its going to happen. Happens very randomly while using a variety of applications from surfing the web, bbming, watching stored videos/listening to music and even happened when on a call. Wondering if it could be a hardware issue.

Anybody else having issues with their 9360. Its a Rogers 9360.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Titan

It could be due to too many apps running and system becoming unstable. Rebooting to reclaim resources.
Can be also due to over heating.

I'm having the same issues, but for my 9350 on Sprint latest OS. IT's driving me nuts and I don't know if it is the OS or the hardware.

I'm having trouble with installing OSs from other providers.

I've deleted the vendor.xml, but AppLoader only seems to recognize the sprint version OS. Is there some new trick?

Yeah, theres multiple Vendor.xmls, what I did was I went into my C Drive and with Windows 7 I just typed in vendor.xml and it searched the C drive, I deleted all the vendor.xml files and it works

I found the other vendor list and installed U.S. Cellulars OS. I'm still running into sporadic crashing... It's driving me crazy!

God, it's so annoying when this happens! My bb just freezes sometimes and shuts down.

I solve that problem, I just put a piece of paper between the battery and the phone so that pressure does battery not fall off of the battery connector... i'm sure that is the problem and not a os problem
sorry for my English i do my best

Default Isn't it ricidulous??

Interestingly, T-Mobile knows about it, they warned me in the store in Dec 2012 not to buy it due to these random shut offs - but they lied to me now that the latest batch they had been delivered in Jan 2012 didn't have this issue. Wrong! And Blackberry hasn't resolved that issue yet! This is my second Bold now. I can't believe this is happening. All forums are full of these issues, I wonder whether we're reading about RIM's insolvency soon??

I am convinced that random shut downs/reboot, is a hardware issue. I have 3 - 9530s. Myself and my 2 kids were using them unlocked of course on T-Mobile. One of them does the random shutdown. I tried everything, multiple batteries, paper behind the door, even took it apart and tried rebuilding it with a new housing.

The other two work fine. Sometimes it is an issue with battery contacts but I truly think you are having a hardware issue with this one.

Mine is also unbranded UK stock.

I was just trying to change a wallpaper and the screen went blank, and the red light came on.

I am running 7.1, wonder if thats got anything to do with it?

Did you get your handsets from Phones 4 U?
