    Memory leak issue?

I haven't had a memory leak issue since about OS 7.0.0.530

Anything that's 7.1 shouldn't make you experience severe memory leaks, of course some apps drain memory pretty easily too.

Something somewhere is leaking. I think .342 was the best in terms of memory. But I'm too lazy to downgrade.

Over all this Os is better than .336, smoother and faster. I tried this .391 from Rogers also on my 9900 and it was pretty good. Yesterday I installed this build on my son's and daughter's 9360's and so far so good...

    Hello Friends,

i am using 9360 curve v7.0.0.570 from Redington India

and now trying to update to 7.1 from Rogers

I have deleted the 2 vendor.xml files still i am not able to see the os core files in the Device App Loader while loading OS and only third party apps are appearing there.

    tried with 7.1.0.391 Rogers
    7.1.0.366 Telnor Norway
    7.0.0.258 Mobilicity

in all cases i dont see any core os files and when i try to install 7.0.0.570 i can view the core files.

plz do suggest sumthng already tried lots of time installing and uninstalling device manger and OS.

    Thanxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xx

Instead using app loader do it with Desktop Manager.

    Noticeable difference?
I'm always lazy to upgrade, because of the Blackberry Group thing.. sometimes it comes back and sometimes it got funny.

I would say that it drains little bit faster. At least first day. Also I had Viber and MS Messenger in background and constantly on 3G. From 09:13 (from full battery) until 22:38 (9% remained). With several restarts and installations. We will se how behaves in next few days.

In the .402 hybrid I'm barely losing any memory, I find that if my memory dips down too low after a few days that the phone will automatically free up memory. The only time I had to reboot was if I was installing or deleting an app.

Yes, it's smoother and a lit bit faster than .336. To make sure the blackberry group always comes back, here is the trick: always use app. Loader instead of DM and Do not unplug your device until it's all done, Turn off the radio before you do an upgrade, install the new OS, after finish and reboot, open and check your BBM group, do a batt. pull, and finally you can turn on the radio.

I always prefer to do a wipe before install, if this way then it is not a clean install right?

Actually, wipe or no wipe is the same, you'll get error 507 (except if you do factory reset + wipe), but if you prefer to wipe your device, then this is the steps (Do not turn on your Radio and never unplug your device until it's finished): clean up all your ввм™ chats>Turn off your Radio> back up your data>wipe your device> install the new OS> do a selective restore>open your ввм™> do a batt pull> turn on your radio and unplug your device.

Do you have OS .570 or any OS as long as it's OS 7.0 on your PC? if you do , you can try my work around (use OS .570/OS 7 folder to upgrade your phone to OS 7.1.0.391), uninstall all OS on your PC berore doing this steps:

    1. Install OS .391 on your PC
2.Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\shared\Loader Files\9360M_PBr7.1.0......, Copy all of the folder contents (Java, UMTS and Axl. files)
    3. Make a new folder in my document or somewhere in your PC, and Paste all the contents in to the new folder.
    4. Uninstall OS.391
5.Install OS .570/any OS 7 on your PC
    6. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loder Files\9360AllLang_PBr7.0.0....., and delete all contents inside the folder (Java, UMTS, Axl. files)
    7. Copy all the new folder's contents and paste in to 9360AllLang_PBr7.0.0...folder.
    8. Delete Vendor Xml. or shrink use BBH tools.
    9. Run App. Loader (do not use DM), and now your PC can detect the updates (7.1.0.391 modules).
