No mobile hotspot on my 7.1 (9360)
I have just installed 7.1.0.336 to my 9360, and the mobile hotspot option isn't there!
Do I have to activate it somewhere? I have searched a lot and didn't find anything.
In the Device Version it says: 7.1 package 1133 (v7.1.0.336)
Hoping you know the answer.

I think your carrier has to include it in their version.

I've not used it yet because it would cost another $20 per month to use it. I believe that you turn it on & enter the name & password, then connect another WiFi device to it.

Yess, but I installed this OS from O2 UK, so I thought this would be enabled by default.
- 07-07-2012, 11:41 AM #6 The WiFi hotspot is an option checkbox under Manage Connections. You need to enable WiFi first, then check the Mobile Hotspot box. Is that box not there? If not, I wonder if removing the vendor.xml files before re-loading the OS would make any difference.

the hotspot option uses a service book, if your data plan donot have internet access you wont have the hotspot option ( the carriers unable this feature in most countrys by default, will be enabled with a full access blackberry plan )

I also had that problem when I first upgraded and my service provider does NOT support Mobile hotspot. The solution is easy, go to options,device,advanced system settings,blackberry device analyzer then just run cellular network connection issues and wifi network connection issues... It will fix the problems and the hotspot box appear!
