    Default Is my BB syncing clocks with my PC instead of the network?

    I have been in a different timezone this week and my bb keeps reverting back to my home timezone.

    Is it by chance that when I plug into my PC its synching with the timezone on the laptop? If so how do I change that? If not what else could be going on.

    Syncing your BlackBerry clock to your PC clock is an anachronistic holdover that is still in the latest version of Desktop Manager. Where you find it in DM depends on your version. In DM 7.1, it's under Device Options/General. It sounds like either your PC or your BlackBerry is not set to the correct time zone, or you wouldn't see the change. There's no longer any need to sync the two. I suppose the option still exists in DM for backward compatibility purposes. When you find it, uncheck it.

    Thanks Jeff I will look for it.

    Its not that one of them is not right, its that my PC stays on my home timezone no matter where I am while I want my handset to be at local time no matter where I am.

    I have 7.1 and I don't see an option to turn off time sync.

    I can turn off all organizer synchronization, but I want to sync my calendar over cable.

    Your device has to be attached to your PC for the option to be visible.

    On my screen shot, it's the 3rd check box under Synchronize: "My computer's date and time with my device"
