Apologize if this has been posted before but I can't seem to get mobile hot spot working on my curve 9360, getting the message:

"to use this feature, contact your wireless service provider and subscribe to a mobile hotspot data plan"

I called my service provider and confirmed I have tethering available.

I tried to use hot spot on an android phone and it worked, but not on the curve.

I read around that a lot of people were having this issue and wanted to know if there is a solution or work around?

I think it has to be allowed in your service book and your provider has to put the apn setting in I have been looking for a app to bypass this as vodafone uk won't have tethering on bb

Thanks for the response. So I gotta call back my provider and see if they can add this setting on their end. I read also that it is possible on my end to edit the apn setting? Its really weird that on the BB I can't tether but able to when I tried it on an android phone.

I know what u mean my htc was rooted I could connect via wifi. And usb but on the bb desktop software you can access bis via usb I am hoping some will do a wifi hotspot app that bypas the service book
