    Default Micro SD cards?

What's the biggest SD card a 9360 has the capabilities to hold? I've heard it's 32gb but I've seen 64gb ones on the market. What 'class' does it take? Any information would be fab.

The higher the class number, the faster the transfer rate, with 10 being the highest AND most expensive.

I bought a 16 gb class 10 from futureshop about 6 months ago on sale for $19.99 cad. I think the regular price was $29.99. A 32 gb is going to be around 50-60 probably. You might get one cheaper online.

    Here's one for 39.99 with 10.00 shipping from newegg.ca.

I'm sure similar deals can be found elsewhere..

BlackBerry is currently optimized to yuse Class 2 speeds. Faster cards will be of benefit for loaxing from a computer, though. MicroSDHC cards up to 32 GB can be used, MicroSDXC 64 GB are NOT compatible.

^ Why not? You get what you need. I have a 16gb card with 12gb in use.

Not sure what your region is, but I got a 16 gb SanDisk at Staples for $20. Last week when I checked, this price was still in effect. Fifteen gb is a lot of data. I only have 1-2 gb that I need to access on my phone. (They're pictures and small video clips.) The rest of the files on my micro sd card are encrypted backup files from my computer. I neither need to nor can access those files from my phone. I'm just storing them there as a backup. Then again, I don't have any music on my phone, so maybe that's why I only have 1-2 gb of data I need to access directly from my BlackBerry.

Thanks all for your advice, I've just bought a 16GB Class 4 Micro SDHC. 32GB was just too expensive at the moment and I'm hoping 16GB will be sufficient to hold my music as my phone doubles as a much-needed mp3 player.
    Thanks all for your help!

But I'm thinking to buy a different device for my music/media 'cause the battery life on my 9360 isnt really that great, even with battery save mode always turned on...

Since I'm a heavy user, my phone doesn't even get me through half a day...

I've yet to have any device get me thru a full days' usage, and that's just the way it is.

"BlackBerry is currently optimized to yuse Class 2 speeds."

Does this mean that the phone (9360 running OS 7.1 in my case) reads and writes at a fixed speed (class 2 speed)? Will using a faster sd card result in any overall improvement in read/write performance? Thanks,
