So does this model have the 5mp with AF and 720p recording? If yes, I'm all in for this one, ditching the 9900 for sure(that just me).

Overall would you consider this a significant improvement from the Bold 9700/9780/9650 series? Have you come across any lag or checkerboarding in the browser?

Thanks, after seeing these pics and just how thin it is compared to the 9700 series (I have a 9650 actually, but similar specs), I am now giving this more thought after initially being totally set on the 9900. However, they may price me out of the 9900 range if it does come in at $299 or $249 on contract in the US. If this Curve is the real deal and $100 or more cheaper, it would make the choice a lot tougher.

yes, it is an improvement imo...

    far better than 9700/9780/9800...

no check board and no lag so far...

I wonder why the 9360 have Platform 8.0.0.319 while other phones have 5.0.0.xxx

    Weird.

do you think it will launch at the price points of the current curves or at higher price to justify the new specs

the apollo looks great.for curve lovers, this is what they want.i,however, did consider having apollo in my upgrade choices before but now im not since i don't like the small screen and small size.i want a larger screen.

thats better free memory than the bold 9900. its like they got confused which product they were marketing as their higher end one (y) still stuck on 9900 vs. 9360

me personally, am going to stick with 9360.. smaller phone but at same time feels quality. not bothered about touch screen or 1.2ghz..

have not had any lag or clocks with the 800mhz on this one...
apps open up instantly and not had the need for any battery pulls..

waiting for mobihand so i can get proper battery results...

far better phone than 9780 so i am happy.....

i feel that i might as well take the higher end phone as it has been offered to me and although i may not use the additional features they are nice to have. But i am keeping this device in consideration so as to not appear greedy and selfish

fair enough, if i had it offered i would prob take it...

once i get my hand son one i will compare and see from there....

apparently the torch 2 is better than the 9900 (i have it from a reliable source)
