I'm waiting for my sim card to activate but im connected via wifi.

I went to set up and new mail account, i put in my gmail credentials but it's just hanging on 'aqquiring service connection' and not doing anything. Does this device even support gmail via the native mail client?

Am I doing this the right way?

You won't be able to setup email until you have a data connection to the BIS. Yes it does support Gmail and it is closely integrated so that messages arrive immediately.

It also supports Google Calendar sync and contact sync using the native email client as well
