I never understood how plugging the headphones in would connect to the radio waves.
Simple, the wire of the headphones, acts as an antenna.
nice i hope we get this on the bold 9900 too, i think it's cool :D
Its such a missed feature since the old Nokias :P
I read somewhere FM tunning application is in-built in OS 7.1. All those running 7.1 may find and report how is it in use?
Curve 9360 running OS7.1 fm radio works Great nice feature
Happy Curving 9360 Folks :D
It is a great feature
This was a leaked 7.1, imagine what the official is gonna be like? (not that it will have vast changes, but one can hope, right?)
when do you think 7.1 is gonna be released?
Soon I hope, I wiped and reinstalled 7.1 without the base .530 and it runs much better. Also, much better battery life without the .530 base.
Could you share step-by-step tutorial ?
Thanks !

~Backup in desktop manager first
1. Download the 9360-7.1.0.70.exe file from the forums.
2. Install it selecting the option without a base.
3. A tool will open after installation that you can use to wipe your device
4. Shrink out unwanted things using the same tool and launch loader
5. Continue as usual
6. Enjoy muuuch better battery life and performance
Can anyone comment on the speed change with 7.1 vs 7.0.0.530 or 594?
Didn't notice any speed change.
Crap, so the FM Radio will only be in the GSM versions and not the CDMA 9350 or 9370?
I don't know why that would be. Try to find a specifications sheet of them all
9900 should have had this.. Exclusive of the curve ;)
;) its really nice. And blackberry tag on the 9360 is amazing too for sending pictures and adding contacts.
im glad they put this in with the update.......don't have to worry about it using data. tune in was a good app, but it was very delayed/unsynced with my car radio....this fm radio is in sync with the car radio
Has anyone with a 9350/70 tried to load 7.1?
I don't think there is a leak yet for the 9350/70
I could be wrong tho. Not quite sure!
Could the 9360 software be loaded on a 9350/70?
No it can't
you don't need to try and install a leak if you ask that kind of question.......they have leaks for each of these phones, and they are for those SPECIFIC phones only. do not try and load a os thats not for the right model :)
Some people are able to create hybrids or just load some files from an OS not designed for a specific phone as was done on the 9700 from the 9780. So it may be possible to run a 7.1 leak on a 9350 in the form of a hybrid.
