I have a Curve 9360 and it has been having quite a few issues for the past few months.

1. It becomes extremely slow after say 3-4 hours of intermittent usage. Using BBDA, 'Issues with device responsiveness', I've been able to figure out that the most free memory I have is 22%. This drops to 2-3% after about 3-4 hours of intermittent usage( A couple of calls, mostly texts).

2. The device displays that the battery is 70-80% charged. Then it suddenly vibrates and displays a message saying 'battery low - shutting down'. This has been happening far too often and nothing helps.

3. I make a call. Hang up. The phone restarts. And then says that the battery is too low for radio use and then shuts down completely.

I have contacted BB Customer Care about this in the past and their solution was that I reinstall the OS. They sent me this link - KB03621-How to reload BlackBerry Device software and applications using BlackBerry Desktop Software.

That didn't help in anyway either. I looked around on a lot of the forums, and tried everything I could find including rolling back to a previous OS version, upgrading to a newer one and none of its helped.

Phone specs:
Platform : 9.6.0.124
App Version : 7.1.0.821 (2301)

In terms of apps, I have the basic ones that come with the phone. I've uninstalled most of them and I'm left with BBM and Whatsapp.

Buying a new phone isn't an option for me, so, I'd really appreciate it if anyone can help out with this.

Welcome to CrackBerry! Have you tried a different battery? Borrow a working one if possible, and do a wipe before you reload? Also try and stick with BBM 7 on these older devices.

I shall try and get my hands on a different battery.

Also, is there a version of the OS which is more stable than other versions?
