tried installing update via pc desktop software, it did backup and then install and then on reboot it just wont reboot Help

try re installing it again the os might of somehow got corrupted also how long have you left it alone stuck on the loading screen ? sometimes it can take a while to turn on

I guess you've tried yanking the battery?

yeah batter and sim card out several times for over an hour, lots of rebooots and does same everytime, the bar gets to the end and gets no further.
Plug it into laptop and go to my blackberry software and it says to repair it and install os - do all that, then again doesnt reboot! i dont even care if everything gets wiped, if i can at least use it!!

Just before all this happened did you install any new apps? Not that I'd know how to get rid of them if you can't reboot but if you did install an app it could be culprit - maybe.

no its been really sluggish for a few weeks, regular crashing and freezing, not installed any apps for months, tried a new battery and that didnt help either

Well what about plugging back into your laptop and wiping your device - then reinstall the OS?

Is there on the BlackBerry manager in your laptop not somewhere you can wipe your phone? If not could you take it to wherever you bought it and see what they can do for you?

it doesnt seem to actually connect with the device!

You can try whipng it with BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife (BBSAK) instead of Desktop Manager

Used the BBSAK and now it boots up to a white screen with all apps on i.e.calender, calculator, music etc - just a list but i cant click on anything and then it just errors to error 603...hmph!
