Cannot upgrade Curve 9360 to OS 7.
Hi there,
I have a BB 9360 with T-Mobile USA. The OS is 7.0
When trying to upgrade on both pc and device, I get a messae that the device is updated on both accounts. On BBC website I go to the upadate for carrier site, and when I click on TMobile USA, I get a page that says Runtime Error: Server Error in '/' Application. - 04-25-2012, 05:23 PM

First you need to delete all other OS7 from your PC before you can upgrade it has to be clean.
My provider Rogers Canada does not have an OS7.1 and i have done three 9360s so far this way and they all work fine. And you don`t need DM to do this.
I use Windows XP i found it easier than W7 or Vista. i have all 3 operating systems here at home.
Here`s Windows XP instructions.
Load Version 7.1.0.336 on your system.
Once loaded you will be shown run APP LOADER DONT click close.
Start button right click explore
Click on Program Files
Click on Common Files
Click on Research in Motion Folder
Click on app loader folder
find the XML VENDOR file located at the bottom of that list also look to make sure you see if another XML vendor file might be hidden in the USERS folder and DELETE it..
dont close.
once deleted plug device into PC and now Click on LOADER icon then next.
You should be see the new OS7.1 ready to go.
Click what you want from the list of stuff then RUN..
Don`t unplug till finished..
I know the W7 and VISTA are almost the same way only you have to find the other hidden XML file in Programs X folders i believe...Its been a while since doing the first OS upgrade..
This should do it GOOD LUCK!
