Battery Saving Mode, does it work?
hey guys as you know the 9360 is hilariously famous for the short battery life issue that its been facing. For those of you who has OS 7.1.0.258+ or something which has battery saving mode i want to get your opinion on it. Does it actually help?
my opinion? it doesnt work at all, i start with a full battery in the morning to school and end up with half a battery by noon. Thats with the bsm on at 80% and my profile on silent. my network is on 3G which i know wastes some amount of energy to keep it up but not THAT much......? - 04-09-2012, 09:28 AM #2
Very much! My advice - switch to 2G and try the same use. You can read my post about my experience. 9360 and short report about the battery’s life
Battery Saving Mode should work but I have never tried to have this mode on and 3G at the same. Should try it. Yesterday I used my phone on 3G for about 10 minutes and I saw a difference of wasting the battery compared with 2G.
I haven´t been using my phone long enough to try many things on it.
Take a look here - 9900 battery: how I found peace of mind
There is the same battery for 9360 and I am thinking about ordering one after reading the reports in the second quoted link.

Upgrade OS on 7.1.0.336. It will double battery life, or at least for one full day of heavy usage. I am running on 3G and still having enough for whole day.

hey guys how do i update..my phone says im running 7.1 Bundle 921 v7.1.0.267 but it says thats the latest update found. Is that the latest update?
i have the 9350 with sprint. the reason im asking is because ever since i updated to this version, my phone randomly freezes and stays on a black screen. I then have to do a battery pull. any suggestions??Last edited by jmcunnin; 04-17-2012 at 11:45 AM.

Agreed, upgrade to OS 7.1 has helped my battery life infinitely, before I would struggle to get through the day even with 3g and wifi turned off, now I leave them on pretty much all day and get through the day no problem. Unconvinced about the benefits of battery saving mode yet though, particularly because I already have my display settings on the lowest available.
