Overheating and poor battery life has been fixed since .261 i believe
That's good to hear because I'm just now setting up a Verizon 9370 for my girlfriend that I just received today. It has 7.0.0.374 preinstalled.
I'm surprised a 7.1 version hasn't been released yet.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality "feel" of this phone. It's like a miniature Bold 9930. The keyboard is way too small for my fat fingers though.
I love the size and weight of mine, especially on long conversation. It's a 9780 bold in a curve body.
I've had mine for a few days now. Have to say that I love it so far! I do have to get used to the smaller keys ( need to have strong thumbnails to hit the keys ), but I'm getting the hang of it.
No over heating, no lock ups, smooth transistions between apps, and even with heavy use, my battery is lasting more than a day.
Such a nice change from my old 8330. XP
Thanks for the responses! I swung by the Verizon store yesterday and picked up my new 9370. I like it a lot. Gobs of new features, but kept all the BB feel I've gotten used to.
here are the problems i have had with the 9370.
1. the screen resolution is such that many emails that arrive require using the trackpad to scroll sideways to read them. Same email on my 9700 comes in fine and all in 1 screen. verizon said the issue is the screen resolution and nothing can be done. i wonder.
2. although the instructions tell you how to delete bookmarks from the internet section, the delete bookmark keys do not appear and verizon says they are permanent, thus you are destined to see both bing and blackberry help at the top of your bookmarks all the time.
3. the volume is not particularly loud.
4. the trackpad is flighty and you might have to push the trackpad out from behind the battery after a little bit of use.
5. the top row menu Phone - blackberry - trackpad - backup - and OFF/hangup are not real buttons and you really have to use a fingernail to get them to accept your entry. that cant last very long.
otherwise - its nice and light and works fine.
