Hey guys

So as the title says I am unable to login to my BB ID account after downloading the newly released Blackberry Messenger 7. After downloading it states I must log in. I have tried and nothing However using the same credentials I can log on using my laptop fine.

I have recently upgraded the latest OS to version 7.1 (even then I had trouble; wiped my whole phone out!)

I have reset my password and still cannot login. I upgraded to BBM 7 as I really wanted to use the wifi calls!

I feel I've tried everything! Can anyone out there help me please?

You should have also been notified to upgrade your BBID when you upgraded to BBM7. Do you recall if this happened?

Yes I did upgrade BBID. Afterwards my Blackberry restarted and the error message came when I accessed BBM 7 and tried to log in.

i had the exact same problem. upgraded to bbm 7, it asked me to update my BBID to the latest, and i did so.. now cannot login whatsoever..

i just updated it and every thing went fine, bb id updated after the restart and could see the new calling feature.

I've tried de-grading to an older OS and see if that works.

No luck at all atm

Hmm...that's an interesting problem. My update went smoothly. Have you tried going into your phones options and checking to see what your BBID says in there?

Can you explain how I do that please?

Go to Setup, then click BlackBerry ID. You could try resetting your password from the blackberry id website and try again

I have the same problem! The only difference is that mine messed up before I could even download the new one. Cant log in at all now! Let me know if you figure something out

I had a similar problem when an update for blackberry ID was released, months ago.

I went to options > device > blackberry ID and reentered the login information and everything worked after that.

Interesting that some are having issues and some aren't. My upgrade to BBM 7 on my 9350 went smoothly. No issues.

You need to update ur Blackberry ID.
