Buying new...

Hey guys.

If I buy the 9310 from Boost Mobile, do I also have to pay for 1st month's service or do they give you the first month free?

You still have to buy an activation card to get started... there are different "packages" depending on the plan you choose, but either way you'll have to pay for the time. I've not heard of Boost giving out free airtime just because you buy the phone from them. Especially at the low price you can get on the 9310... currently listed for $79.99 on their website, but I called to ask about a better deal and they sold me mine for $55.99. I was also a longstanding customer so that probably helped.

I remember getting a Boost phone a few years ago back when they first introduced CDMA.

If you bought a phone (at the time the phone I got was $100), they gave you your first month free...

I don't think they have that deal anymore... but if they do, I would think it would be clearly advertised on their website. Prepaid Cell Phones - No Contract Wireless Plans | Boost Mobile or call their Customer Service and ask. If you get someone on the phone who has the ability to manipulate prices (as I did), then maybe they WILL give you that deal to pick up a new customer. Who knows.

Blackberry 'Curve' 9310 at Boost Mobile now for $59.99 until Jan. 31st. No promo code is needed, it will automatically show up at that price on checkout. My brother has had the 9310 now for six months and loves it.
