I've recently got a Blackberry Curve 9320. I want to tether my laptop to it (a Toshiba, running Windows 7), so that I can use the 3G signal when I've got no wi-fi.

I've installed Blackberry Desktop. When I connect the Blackberry to my laptop via a USB cable the desktop software asks me for a PIN. I've tried the normal PIN that I use to unlock the device but that doesn't work.

I've tried the 8 character alphanumeric PIN that I see when I look in Options \ Device \ Device and Status Information, but no joy either.

Any suggestions?

You could always download "tether" free trial from appworld until you get it sorted out. Tether is awesome. I paid 50$ for it 3 years ago and still use it.
