Theme Install Hard Crash

After installing a theme posted here, my 8900 went into a tailspin, dreaded white t-mobile screen, got it back but now have lost the 'all messages" icon, video icon, and camera icon.

This happened once before and I wiped.

This time I'd rather not wipe. Ewwww. Sounds nasty.

How can I get these icons back?

I've done all the show all stuff.

I had the same problem the other day, I had to wipe, and reload the OS.

Try and change back to a default theme.... then battery pull.

or just do a restore.

BTW... the beta themes can cause these issues, you should ALWAYS set a default theme when you do a reboot or battery pull.

I had this issue. Change your theme, then delete the theme causing trouble (under options-advanced options-applications-then the theme(delete it)). Then reset your device when it asks and you should be ok

I didn't even have to delete the theme.... the theme still works it is just a pain if i forget to check to default before re-booting...LOL

Like Clint said: Switch to one of the default Precision themes, restart and then switch back and you should be good to go. This is a common problem with any theme other than the Precision theme because they are Beta.

I'm well aware of switching to default themes.

That was not the problem.

As I stated, the problem is it crashed at the end of the theme install.

So, theres no way to re-install the all messages icon, camera or video capture icons without restoring?

UGH.

I have been tinkering with Plazmic and worked up my first theme. It is almost finished and I was looking forward to installing it. After reading all these horror stories I think I will just wait until the official release. Thanks for all the warnings!
